It’s Christmas!

Time flies fast as we grow older,

Yes, it’s Christmas once again.

There’s hustle and bustle to get things done, For youngsters it’s all excitement and fun. The mince-pies are made and laid out to cool, The pudding is ready and the freezer full. But let’s spare a thought for those on their own, Where their only contact is the telephone. And little children far away,

Who won’t have much on Christmas Day.

So let us be grateful for all that we have, And the help that is given,

Through good times and bad.

I raise my glass and wish you good cheer, Let’s hope it will be a peaceful New Year.
