Leap Of Faith

As a family we were all very pleased to see the article in the “Would You Believe It?” page, about a bus “jumping” the Tower Bridge as it began to rise.

This event is often told as part of our family history, as my dad, his brother and parents were all among the passengers on that bus. My dad actually fractured his collar bone in the incident, which delayed him taking his eleven plus exam. He did, however, gain £50 in compensation, an awful lot of money in those days.
