The Magic Of Christmas

The People's Friend - - News - Maisie Bishop.

Children practise carols in voices More suited to the football terraces Than the concert hall.

And yet, when the moment comes, And the hall is full,

The decorations sparkle,

The heads of freshly washed hair glisten, And the children sing;

We see Jesus

In all our infants, and

The tears fill our eyes.

The magic is there once more.
