Prune wisteria

You’ll get a much better display in May if you prune your wisteria in January. Cut back side stems to two or three buds, and make sure you don’t take any flower buds off. A layer of compost mulch will be appreciated, but don’t add fertiliser to wisteria as it will encourage leaf growth instead of flowers.
