Experts at Harvard Medical School have found that spending more than four hours a day watching TV increases your risk of a form of snoring called “obstructiv­e sleep apnoea”, which blocks your airways and disturbs your sleep (and is linked to worrying long-term health problems).

They discovered that longterm sedentary behaviour increases your risk by as much as 78%, but regular activity reduces your risk immediatel­y.
