Glitzy ball to celebrate summer

A SOCIAL club is hoping to start an annual tradition with a black tie summer ball.

Deeping Sports and Social Club is holding the first event of its kind at its base in Outgang Road, Market Deeping.

The club will erect a marquee in the grounds with room for 200 people .

he marquee will be attached to the main bar and the function room of the club allowing all the space to be used for the summer ball.

The 200 guests at the event will be sat down for a delicious three-course meal.

During the evening the band The Kommitment­s will entertain throughout the night.

The 10-piece band will be performing popular songs from the 1991 film The Commitment­s about The Hardest Working Band in the world.

They will be joined later by Michael Dean, known as The Box, to provide the ultimate disco experience.

Organiser Sharon Paul said: “The response from the local community has been good and it is intended that the ball becomes an annual event.”

The glitzy night will also see a silent auction and tombola with proceeds going to Parkinsons UK Bourne Branch and Deeping Men’s Group. Party goers will be able to enjoy a Champagne and wine bar as well as cask beers.

The glamourous evening is on Saturday, June 23 and doors open at 6pm with guests sitting down for dinner at 7pm.
