Specialists take on ‘warm wall’ covering

A LOCAL renewable and eco products specialist has come up trumps when it comes to reducing thermal loss in hard-to-heat homes.

That’s because Market Deeping-based Eco Building Products has become the area’s exclusive agent and stockist of Sempatap Thermal – a wall and ceiling covering that can save up to 30 per cent heat loss on solid wall properties and park homes.

Sempatap Thermal is recommended by the Energy Saving Trust and is only 10mm thick and as easy as wallpaper to apply.

The product has a guaranteed life expectancy of 30 years, and because of its fibreglass surface it can be decorated and redecorated with virtually anything - wallpaper, emulsion or tiles - and filled with Polyfilla if it gets damaged.

Aside from its outstanding thermal properties, Sempatap Thermal can improve sound insulation and a Sempafloor version is also available for insulating cold or solid concrete floors - saving up to 20 per cent of the heat lost.

Both Sempatap Thermal and Sempafloor are said to be ideal products for adding instant warmth to older properties built with single skin brick or stone walls, homes with mansard roofs or dormer ceilings, and park homes.
