Fisher spent last year in the Premier League with Plymouth after last riding in the Elite League in 2010 with parent club Coventry.

Fisher said: “The Elite League is definitely the place where I want to be.

“I didn’t managetogetaride in the top league last year but I’mdelightedtohavebeengiven thechancetoraceforPeterborough next season.

“I see the move as a fresh start for me and I’m only looking to go forward from here.

“Put it this way, it will have been a terrible year if I haven’t managed to increase my average by the end of the season.”

Fisher appears to have arrived onabargain figure of 5.27 - 60 per cent of the average he achieved in the second tier of the sport last year. Heaveraged a shade over six points when last at this level two years ago.

He i mpressed Panthers bosses with a fineguestdisplay for them last season when he was involved in three successive 5- 1s during a victory over champions Swindon before crashing out.

And Fisher has promised the Panthers faithful they will never get less than 100 per cent commitment from him.

Fisher added: “I makenosecret of the fact that I am a hard rider. I always race my rivals hard every time I go out on the track and I expect them to do the same to me.”

Even though he didn’t ride in the Elite League regularly last year, Fisher did appear in the Elite League Riders’ Championships individual event.

He was a late inclusion after a number of drop- outs which included Panthers rider Krzysztof Buczkowski.
