No frosty reception for these Celebrities on Ice in city show

With a fresh line up of celebrities and new- look judging panel – the Class of 2013 is settling into a new year of the smash ITV show Dancing on Ice.

And some of the programme’s former contestants and champions are gearing up for an ice spectacular of their own in Peterborough.

The countdown to Celebri- ties on Ice at Peterborough Arena is now on – with the East of England Showground venue hosting the first regional event of its kind for a series of exhilarating and exciting shows from January 25- 27, compered by Christopher Biggins.

With rehearsals now under way, there are just a few short weeks before Peteborough Arena undergoes a major transformation which will see the installation of a spectacular ice rink, some jaw- dropping special effects, glitzy costumes and of course a galaxy of stars for a spectacu- lar family show.

The amazing line up of performers skating alongside the incredible Russian Ice Stars and Canadian professional Colin Ratushniak include; TV personality and 2011 Dancing on Ice contestants Chico; 2007 and 2009 champions – England rugby hero Kyran Bracken and West End star Ray Quinn – and the wonderful Lisa Scott- Lee from Steps.

Kyran ( right) said: “It’s great to see Dancing On Ice back on our screens, and brings back some fantastic memories for myself and the cast.

“Personally, I’ll be watch- ing the progress of fellow Rugby player Gareth Thomas throughout the series.

“The return of the TV show gives an added buzz to all of us working on Celebrities on Ice and certainly gets the public talking about ice skating, ice dancing and of course, their favourite performers.”
