Twitter, twitter little stars

-

Twitter is very much a love it or loathe it experience and I’m firmly in the love camp.

Admittedly, it is full of boring people boring us with their boring opinions, but amongst the dross are some absolute gems.

A shining example is @ Lincs RPU the official Twitter account for Lincolnshire traffic cops.

One of their latest Tweets read: “Just stopped a vehicle A1, sus circs. Hate it when there is not enough to lock em up’’.

Meanwhile, a former resident of Telegraph Towers ex- reporter Matt Reville was busy on Twitter revealing an insight into the Peterborough man found dead in a car park ( see Page 10).

Leicester lad Matt tweeted: “It’s been confirmed that my old school playground ( now a car park) was Richard III’s burial site. Sorry for playing on your grave, old boy.’’

Then there is our very own Peterborough MP Stewart Jackson whose Twitter account is well worth a follow, unless you’re the Prime Minister.

Stewart has been a vocal opponent of the PM’s plan to allow gay marriages ( amongst other things), but found time for a joke albeit, at Mr Cameron’s expense.

He Tweeted: “To be fair, Dave’s totally committed to same sex marriage. Him and Nick Clegg.’’

It’s not Jimmy Carr standard, but it brightens up my day.
