The City of Peterborough Symphony Orchestra have announced their 2013 programme, which includes three Sunday afternoon concerts and a Saturday evening event in the Summer.

They kick off on Sunday, March 17, with Elgar’s Froissart overture, Bruch’s violin concerto No1 ( soloist David Le Page, right) and Tchaikovsky’s 5th Symphony, with Paul Hilliam conducting.

The venue for this Spring concert is the Voyager Academy concert hall in Mountsteven Avenue, Walton, and it will last from 3pm- 5pm.

Tickets are £ 12.50 and £ 10.50 ( concessions), with accompanied children free.

They are available from the orchestra website and the Visitor Information Centre in Bridge Street.

Musical quiz sheets will be on sale at the concert to raise funds for the orchestra.

The sheets will cost £ 1 and many of the answers to the forty questions are places.

If you want to know the style of the questions here is a sneak preview:

Question: Gene Pitney was a day away from this place.
