Riva has new home

-

Italian restaurant Riva has revealed the location of its new home in the city. Having moved out of the Key Theatre building at the end of March, the independent eatery will be opening for business at the beginning of May from Peterborough Road, Eye, the building previously occupied by Toscanini Restaurant.

Owner Chris Falco said: “Moving out of The Key Theatre was a time of mixed emotions; sad to be drawing a line under four wonderful years there, but excited to be moving on to bigger and better things.

“This move gives us a wonderful building with a rich history dating back to the late 19th century. It allows us to offer our dining experience to a larger number of customers but still providing an intimate ambience.

“We are just three miles from our old location, literally a five minute drive from the city centre.”

Mr Falco added: “We are excited to at last be the sole occupants of our premises, allowing us to make it whatever we want it to be.

“The free car parking is an added bonus. We believe Riva can now offer customers our ‘ true taste of Italy’ without the hassle of trekking into the city centre.”

The official launch date will appear on the Riva website www. riva- restaurant. co. uk

Meanwhile, Cafe Clarkes, will open at the Key on May 24, a new dining venture for Dinesh Odedra, from The Banyan Tree in Westgate and Werrington, and Lee Clarke, from Clarkes on Lincoln Road.
