Adventure day will be no picnic for Teddies
Calling all darevdevil soft toys and their owners – Sacrewell Farm is the place to go on Sunday for a Teddy bears’ adventure day. Is your bear brave enough to ride on a zip wire or take the plunge with a bungee jump? It will certainly be no picnic for them.
There are sure to be plenty of thrills and spills as your favourite cuddly toy attempts a range of activities featuring raft rides on the millpond and parachute games.
Sacrewell’s marketing, communications and events executive, Megan Allen, said: “Teddy bears’ adventure day is always a hugely popular event and great fun for everyone who takes part.”
Any child bringing their soft toy with them will receive an activity card on their arrival to be stamped as they complete each task.
Once the card is filled, owners can claim a well earned piece of treasure and a certificate to mark their toy’s impressive performance.
The day will also include some of Sacrewell’s regular summer events such as pond dipping, a duck race and bumpy tractor rides.
And if the traditional bank holiday rain arrives during the visit then the new play barn is just the place to provide plenty of fun.
Celebrating our 50th year as a registered charity, 2014 is proving to be an exciting year at Sacrewell with the project to restore the farm’s 18th century water mill taking shape.
The farm is open every day from 9.30am – 5pm.
