Matthew Pudney, Director for Princebuild commented “It’s great to be involved with the Peterborough Telegraph’s Business Awards again following our own successful entry in 2009 when we were awarded ‘Business of the Year’ and this isn’t the first time that we’ve sponsored a category in the awards since then.”
Princebuild play a vital role in supporting local communities, businesses and charities from within their areas of operation, like Macmillan Cancer Support and Sue Ryder, and they became a major sponsor of Peterborough United (Posh) in 2013 as well as becoming partners in many other local training initiatives with schools and colleges.

year as we are acutely aware of the impact the construction industry has on the environment,” said Mr Pudney.
“Like this year’s nominees, we too have been working hard to reduce the environmental impact our business operations have by introducing ini- tiatives such as optimising the routes our vehicles take, and diverting much of our waste from landfill by converting it to biomass energy, providing a viable alternative source of low carbon fuel.”
In addition, Princebuild also launched a renewable arm to its business in 2011 with the i ntroduction of Princeenergy, a Renewables and Building Services division of the business headed up by Director Mark Asplin.
“Over the past year we have been working with organisations such as the Peterborough Environmental City Trust (PECT) to try and raise environmental awareness through sponsorship and through delivering advice to people on how to reduce their fuel bills.” said Mr Asplin.
“Princeenergy’s expertise is in providing renewabl e a nd e nerg y s av i ng solutions to both homes and businesses, and we have the ability to offer a total package, helping to dramatically reduce energy bills.”
Princenergy deliver many energy saving solut i ons t o businesses and homeowners such as bei ng able to generate f ree electricity whilst receiving government backed cash incentives and selling surplus energy back into the grid.
