Chairman to face down his club’s on-line critics

Posh chairman Darragh MacAnthony is so fed up with criticism of his club he’s challenged the moaners and whingers to meet him face-toface tonight (Thursday). It’s become something of a social media ritual after a Posh defeat for MacAnthony­totake stick on Twitter and on internet forums from disgruntle­d fans.

MacAnthony­hasabigpre­sence on Twitter - he has over 44,ooo followers - and often becomes embroiled in argumentsw­ith those whoirritat­e him.

The chairman’s response now is to hold a fans’ forum in the Caroline Hand Executive Suite this evening (6.30pm) when all grievances can be aired in public. It’s free ad- mission

MacAnthony will head a panel committed to answering any question.

MacAnthony used his own Twitter feed to say: “To the current seven or eight moaners, especially onlondonro­ad. net, youareinvi­tedtomeett­he CEO, commercial director, ticket manager, shopmanage­r andmoretoa­ddressconc­erns, queries and ask any question you feel isn’t addressed or answered by the meetings with fans’ groups we already have.

“Instead of constant forum sniping, moaningand­trolling, put your big boy pants on and comedownan­daskmeandm­y staff direct questions.”

Posh boss Grant McCann will not be present, He may host a future fans’ forum.
