-

EVENT Around 10,000 people flocked to the twoday Baston Blitz at the weekend. Now in its fourth year, the event featured 60 trade stalls, over 50 WW2 display groups, dozens of vintage military and civilian vehicles and static aircraft displays and hundreds of re-enactors dressed in WW2 military uniforms or civilian costume. Highlights of the show included large-scale authentic battle re-enactments on both days that featured a WW2 German tank for the first time, a recreated German prisoner-of-war camp complete with watch tower and guards, plus flypasts by Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Hurricane and Spitfire fighter planes.
