Long delays after lorry overturns

email enquiries@shawscoaches.co.uk Motorists faced lengthy delays after the A1 was shut following a collision between a lorry and a car. The lorry overturned on the northbound carriageway at Norman Cross at 1.45pm on Monday.

The wreckage of the lorry crossed both carriageways, and the road was blocked for several hours. The closure caused traffic jams across Peterborough through the evening rush hour. A police spokesman said there were no serious injuries in the crash.
