Pupils win world geography quiz
On Thursday, October 12, five year nine geographers from Oundle School took part in the local round of the Geographical Association’s Worldwise Quiz .
The quiz tested their knowledge of both Human and Physical Geography as well as general ‘place’ knowledge. Oundle entered two teams and were competing against four other local schools in the South Lincolnshire round – Stamford School, Stamford High School, Stamford Welland Academy and Uppingham School. Robert Brettle,Marcus McDevitt and Alexander Jones, all aged 13, took the top place position. Head of Geography, Morwenna Chapman said: “Our pupils competed enthusiastically and were pleased to receive their prizes of a large Collins Atlas at the end of the evening.”
