Civic opening for new-look children’s play centre following major investment

A children’s play centre in Peterborou­gh has reopened after a revamp. Big Sky Soft Play, in Wainman Road, Orton Longuevill­e, has been given a new look with a £400,000 refurbishm­ent. The centre, which is reputed to be the largest and oldest soft play centre in the city, was officially opened by the Mayor of Peterborou­gh Councillor John Fox.

Lynn Downey, manager of Big Sky Soft Play Peterborou­gh, said: “The refur- bishment works comprise of a new three-storey play frame. Its theme is “around the world” and there are different zones for the children to play in representi­ng different countries around the world. “There is also new flooring throughout the building, a new reception area and a new entrance to the building.

“Now the play frame has been modernised, we will be looking to hold special sessions for children with disabiliti­es.”
