Civic opening for new-look children’s play centre following major investment
A children’s play centre in Peterborough has reopened after a revamp. Big Sky Soft Play, in Wainman Road, Orton Longueville, has been given a new look with a £400,000 refurbishment. The centre, which is reputed to be the largest and oldest soft play centre in the city, was officially opened by the Mayor of Peterborough Councillor John Fox.
Lynn Downey, manager of Big Sky Soft Play Peterborough, said: “The refur- bishment works comprise of a new three-storey play frame. Its theme is “around the world” and there are different zones for the children to play in representing different countries around the world. “There is also new flooring throughout the building, a new reception area and a new entrance to the building.
“Now the play frame has been modernised, we will be looking to hold special sessions for children with disabilities.”
