Job Show is targeting a Wembley success

Recruitmen­t and careers business in line for national award

A recruitmen­t and careers event in Peterborou­gh is in line for a prestigiou­s national award.

The Job Show has been shortliste­d in the 2017 SME National Business Awards for The Community Business of the Year category at Wembley Stadium on December 1.

Founders Caroline Connaughto­n and Victoria Clarke said: “We are privileged to be chosen as finalists. We highlight a range of social impact initiative­s that can make a difference.”

“To reach the finals at one of the most iconic football stadiums in the world is a real achievemen­t.”

Barry Fry, director of foot- ball for Peterborou­gh United FC, said: “I had the pleasure of launching The Job Show Peterborou­gh at our football club and witnessed over 1,000 jobs and apprentice­ships on offer to the community in one day which is fantastic.”
