Posh pipped by Brummies in 125th anniversary game
Peterborough Sports was the venue for another match that formed part of the Peterborough Football Association’s 125th anniversary celebrations at the weekend. Peterborough United Deaf took on Birmingham City Deaf in a fixture supported by Northamptonshire FA. It was a close game, most notable for the fair play and respect shown by all players, and the visitors came out on top 2-1 through two Ibrahim Zarakri goals. Omar Salad scored for Posh.
City included Great Britain player Adam Breeze in their team. Peterborough FA secretary and Northants FA representative Paul Redgate presented special medals to the players and match officials, who were sponsored by Vivacity.
