Legends looking good

New boys Court Legends are going great guns in the Peterborough World Rules Thursday League sponsored by Stanground Carpets & Flooring.

They played hosts to the PSL Lions in the featured You-tube live streamed match and won 12-3 to go top of the table.

Darren Hope wrapped it up for the Legends as early as the 10th frame.

It was nip and tuck in the first session between Court Posties and Bluebell R Back but a mid-match sequence of six winning frames on the trot saw Bluebell to a 9-6 victory.

Andy Cooke performed a ‘break & dish’ for the Bluebell.

There was nothing in it after two sessions in the match between Court Fat Wanna Be Slim and Heron Warlords but the Heron finished strongly for a 10-5 win with Liz Disney assuring her team of the win in the 12th and Graham Tilley getting a ‘break & dish’ in the 13th.

Quinns Muppets welcomed Cross Keys Silver to their neck of the woods and advantage immediately went to the visitors with them taking the first two frames of the match.

The Muppets not wanting home advantage to slip, then moved up a gear and took the next five frames opening up a sizeable lead.

Sliver were having none of it though and went one better themselves by taking the next six frames in a row and, along with it, the team win confirmed by Tony Brown in the 13th.

Len Donelly and Paul Dewey took the last two frames for the Muppets making the final score 8-7.

Cross Keys Silver and Quinns Muppets now sit second and third respectively in the table.
