RE: Christmas decorations put up in Peterborough - but is it too early? Christmas related anything, decor, songs etc should be banned from being put up/ played till at least late November. It’s not even been Halloween yet! James Baker

The decorations are nothing to do with celebrating Christmas. They are to get you thinking about when Christmas is and to start spending your money on gifts for people. Pauline Blades

Queensgate used to have brilliant Xmas displays in the 70s to 90s with no expense spared and was probably a lot more planning than nowadays Graham Tucker

It takes weeks to get the lights up, working, & correcting any issues that may arise... the guys work so hard in all weather conditions so the people of Peterborough & surrounding areas can enjoy them .... Up until the point of switch on & after care its a very hardworking, nerve wrenching time.. Tania Annette Lee
