Swiss misses give Boro Academy a touch extra

There were some unlikely stars in the SRG Elite Summer Touch Rugby League.

Three ladies from Switzerland took part despite never having seen a rugby ball before.

But Selini Paoli, Mireille Egli and Anna Zinsstag took their first experience of the sport in their stride and scored four tries between them to help the Peterborough Rugby Club Academy team win the Pool One title. Bar Bars won Pool Two. The tournament was launched by Borough and the Yaxley Yaks O2 Touch Rugby Club with matches taking place over four weeks at Borough’s Fengate ground.
