Deeping Rangers survived a terrific Tigers fightback to earn a lucrative FA Cup tie with AFC Rushden & Diamonds.

Goals from Scott Mooney, Dan Schiavi and Jason Kilbride fired Deeping into a 3-0 lead early in the second half of last weekend’s extra prelima- ry round tie before Holbeach goals from Josh Ford and Kieran Hamilton forced a tense finale.

Deeping held on to win 3-2 and will now host the wellsupported Diamonds on August 25.

Wisbech (2-1 at Cogenhoe) and Yaxley (3-1 at Swaffham) also won FA Cup ties last weekend, but Peterborough Northern Star were thumped 6-1 at Histon and Pinchbeck lost their first ever game in the competition 3-0 at Rothwell Corinthians.

The United Counties teams return to league action on Saturday when Deeping travel to Desborough, Holbeach host Kirby Muxloe, Pinchbeck entertain Leicester Nirvana and Northern Star are at Rothwell for Premier Division fixtures.

Blackstones made it two wins in two Division One games as a last-minute goal from Martyn Fox secured a 3-2 success over Ayesltone Park.

Stones joy was dampened by CCTV footage which showed two of their players raiding the visiting dressing room. The players have been thrown out of the club.

Moulton Harrox are setting a strong pace in the Peterborough Premier Division as they made it five wins from five matches with hardfought wins at Ketton (2-0) and at home to Holbeach United Reserves (3-2). Joe Townsend has scored in all five Harrox matches.

Peterborough Polonia tasted victory for the first time as a top-flight club as a last-minute Sebastian Bialoskorka goal secured a 2-1 win over Langtoft. Rafal Kowalski also scored.
