A first Premier Division win in 38 attempts!
Langtoft United celebrated their first Peterborough Premier Division win for 38 games last weekend when thumping newly-promoted Long Sutton Athletic 4-0.
Thomas Lancaster’s hattrick and a goal from Darren Fryar clinched a first topflight win since a 3-0 success at Uppingham in April, 2017.
Last season Langtoft drew 1 and lost 29 of their Premier Division games and finished on -2 points after a points deduction. They had lost all four of their league matches this season.
Moulton Harrox continue to set a scorching pace at the top. They eased three points clear at the top after winning a sixth match in a row at Sutton Bridge United on Tuesday. Ashley Coddington and Marcus Parry scored the goals in a 2-1 win.
Thorney moved into second on the same night as they made it five straight wins with a 3-1 success at ICA Sports despite having goalkeeper Ben Derbyshire sent off in the first half.
It was 1-1 at the time as Sam Donohoe equalised an early ICA goal from Andrew Moss. Leon Gellizeau and Adam Scott scored second-half goals for Thorney.
Netherton United would snatch second place with a win at Warboys last night (Wednesday). The champions have won back-to-back matches 6-1 with Tydd their latest victims at the Grange last weekend.
Zack Fisher (2), Dean Giglio (2), Herbie Panting and Michael Goncalves scored.
Alfie Ferguson claimed a terrific hat-trick as Peterborough Sports Development beat Stamford Lions 4-3 at the Bee Arena last weekend.
