This is the measure which schools are now ranked, when they are published in the autumn term.

Lynn Mayes, head of school at Queen Katharine Academy, said: “We are proud of all of our students at Queen Katharine Academy. “There are some remarkable success stories at every level which exemplifies the inclusive nature of our academy. “We are delighted that we have secured a significant improvement of good passes at Level 5 and above.

“All staff at the academy have worked incredibly hard to secure an improvement in grades across subject areas. “We have so many incredible students at our academy and it is amazing to see students who only joined Queen Katharine Academy in the last year achieving such impressive results and attaining grades that are Level 4 and above.

“This is thanks to the students’ hard work and the vital support of our staff.

“I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone including staff, parents and the local community who continue to support us on our journey and have supported our students in achieving such impressive results.” The number of pupils at Queen Katharine achieving Level 4 and above in English and maths has remained in line with the academy’s results from last year at 32 per cent.
