More than half of pupils at Jack Hunt School passed both English and maths. Headteacher Pamela Kilbey said: “Our results are as we expected this year in the light of the increased rigour and content of the new examinations. We achieved 52 per cent combined maths and English grade 4 and above and this means we should continue our trend of good progress made by our students from their starting points in Year 7. “Whilst proud of the hard work and dedication of all our students particularly impressive results include: Peter Whyman with seven grade 9s, one A* and one grade 8; Gurveena Jassar with seven grade 9s, one grade 8 and one grade 7; Adeeba Sarfraz with one grade 9, two A*s, 4 grade 8s and two grade 7s; Milena Mandic with one grade 9, four grade 8s and three grade 7s; and Aliyah Khan with one A*, 4 grade 8s and 3 grade 7s. “I would like to thank the staff for their dedication and support and the students for their resilience.”
