I’ve always been ambivalent about the chuggers on Bridge Street. They and their fake bon homie are incredibly irritating, but on the other hand they are just young people trying to make a living and therefore not deserving of my scorn. I’m less tolerant of other Bridge Street dwellers, including those who want to ram their religious beliefs down our throats. There was one man the other day armed with a microphone telling us all where we are going wrong in life. He’s entitled to his opinions, but couldn’t he just go on Twitter?
