Poetry, singing and daring deeds wow the crowds in Millfield
EVENT Sunday’s Millfield Festival was well attended, especially considering the downpour, and visitors were able to experience great poetry, singing, the makers market and, of course, the crowd-pleasing Bullzini. What the crowd lacked in numbers, they made up for with love and engagement.
The spoken word tent drew in the crowds, performances on the main stage provided entertainment to keep everybody moving, dance acts encouraged people to join in and music came from the amazing Mohammed Yahya. Closing the festival on a high, braving wind and water, the Bullzini Family performed a death defying high wire act, Esioropia, a tale of sadness and love delivered in the most breathtaking way possible.
The crowd was wowed. In awe they gasped as Bullzini walked blindfolded, cycled, performed a traditional dance and acrobatics accompanied by a fantastic live band.
