Panthers have the perfect pair

-

Panthers believe they have two strong contenders for trophy glory this Sunday.

Number one Scott Nicholls and Michael Palm Toft represent the club in the SGB Championship Riders’ Individual at Sheffield.

Both men are bidding to triumph in an event won by Ulrich Ostergaard at the same Owlerton venue in 2015.

“They are both capable of winning it,” said team boss Carl Johnson. “Scott has been in brilliant form in the SGB Championship lately while ‘Tofty’ has done nothing but improve this season.

“Michael lives close to Sheffield as well so I’m sure he’ll have a few friends at the meeting and will want to put on a good show for them.

“It was a fantastic day for Ulrich and the whole club when he won the meeting a few years ago. He didn’t go into it as one of the favourites, but things just fell into place for him and wWe all know that anything can happen on the day in a meeting like this.

“We’ve already won the Fours this year and we’d love another trophy on Sunday.”
