Milton’s Tiger helps GB & Ireland to victory over Europe

-

Peterborough Milton star Robin Tiger Williams played a leading role for the Great Britain and Ireland team that won the 2018 Jacque Leglise Trophy at the weekend.

Sixteen year-old Williams was unbeaten over the two days of competition as Great Britain and Ireland defeated the Continent of Europe 15½-9½ at Kytäjä Golf in Finland to win the annual Under 18 match for the first time in four years.

Williams actually sank the winning putt on the 17th in his Saturday singles match to claim a 2&1 win over Kiet van der Weele and put GB&I into an unassailable 13-7 lead.

On Friday he won his singles by one hole against Adam Wallin and halved his foursomes playing with Conor Gough against Eduard Rousaud Sabate and David Puig.

In his Saturday foursomes, again playing with Gough, he halved with Wallin and Loic Ettlin.
