Tolethorpe Youth Group, October half-term

Tolethorpe Youth Drama hosted a very exciting and special half term workshop.

The workshop, entitled “A Ghost’s Story”, saw students working together with highly skilled teaching staff and creative team to devise and produce a promenade, site specific piece of theatre on the Friday night.

Those who dared to enter were treated to a performance which brought them on a ghostly journey around Tolethorpe Hall.

There were plenty of spooky surprises along the way as the audience watched present day students morph into Victorian ghosts haunting the hall.

“It was an ambitious project,” says Principal Mary Benzies, “but with the support of the Stamford Shakespeare Company, the perfect venue to perform in and some very talented kids, we knew we had the ingredients for a wonderful week.” To find out more about the group, email tyd@ stamfordshakespeare. co.uk or visit www. tolethorpeyouthdrama. co.uk
