Bosses at the city’s mental health trust were quite rightly outraged at Phillip Hufton who swindled the NHS out of £350,000. A spokesman fumed: “The actions of Hufton were reprehensible. He had come to the trust highly recommended and with good references.’’ Er, well he would have wouldn’t he? He’s a fraudster! He lied on his CV, even claiming he was a doctor. A few checks might have been in order from the trust?
