It’s ‘soul-destroying’ as Lions lose crunch relegation clash
Rugby - National League Two North
Peterborough Lions chief Andy Moore described his side’s latest National League Two North defeat as ‘soul-destroying’.
The city side came off second best in the battle of the Lions on Saturday, losing 35-17 to Leicester Lions in a crunch relegation clash, and they remain firmly rooted to the foot of the table.
But they went down fighting and Lions chairman Moore reckoned the scoreline flattered the home team.
He said: “It’s soul-destroying what’s happening to us at the moment. our fingers crossed for a change of luck. At least the team spirit is still good. We’re all up for it as we are for every game.
“If we cut out those annoying individual errors then I’m sure we’ll start to turn it round.”
