The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - YOUR TELEGRAPH -

The festive season is almost upon us, and here are a couple of photos from Christmas past - I took them around 1980.

The colour image was shot from the Guildhall looking out into Cathedral Square - and a real Christmas tree!

The other photo is from the city centre - and all these years later I would love to know who were the tree carriers and lady with child?

I do hope readers can join me at my book signing of Streets of Britain tomorrow December 7th in the foyer at Peterborough City Hospital.

A donation from book sales on the day will go to the breast cancer research and oncology department in gratitude for the amazing work they do for us.

Who was carrying the tree - and who is that crossing the road pushing a buggy?

Christmas in Cathedral Square.
