Bridge bother for barge

Today’s Looking Back pictures are a random selection that might jog a few memories. The top picture shows the original office of the Peterborough Citizen and Advertiser (forerunner of the Peterborough Telegraph) in its original office on Broadway. It’s flanked by Turner’s and Smith’s. Does anybody remember what type of shops these were?
