Here are a couple of photographs I took in winter in the early 1980s.
The couple out walking a dog were in Fitzwilliam Street with Enway Motors (which sold three wheeler cars) in Broadway and the market multi storey car park in the background.
Regular readers of this column might recognise Jock in the main photpograph - I featured him in the city centre a couple of weeks ago.
This time he is in Fitzwilliam Street at the junction with Broadway.
Who remembers The City Stamp Shop and Sheila’s Hair Salon?
And what about Fairways toyshop over the road where my mum worked?
