Audi is seized as police raid city home
Teams of armed police officers carried out a warrant at a property in Peterborough on Wednesday afternoon.
Residents living in Southfields Drive in Stanground reported seeing a number of armed police officers arrive in the street at around 4pm yesterday. A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said the officers were carrying out a planned operation in the area and executed a warrant at an address in the street.
Witnesses saw a black Audi car being seized by police, and taken away for further examination on the back of a tow truck.
One eyewitness, who asked not to be named, said he saw people being arrested, but police did not confirm if any arrests had been made at the time of going to press.
The officers remained at the scene for a number of hours while investigations continued at the property.
Cambridgeshire police did not comment on the nature of the warrant that had been issued, or what the investigation was about.
