This might not be what you expect from a care home

Residents have their very own pub ... and a giant giraffe

-

Life is never dull at the Tallington Lodge Care Home. There’s simply too much to do to ever be bored. Whether it’s enjoying a pint with a pal in the Railway Inn or sipping a flat white in the onsite coffee shop, residents are spoilt for choice.

Luxury features include a hair salon, garden boathouse and beautifully designed lounge and dining areas on both floors.

Run by the award winning Country Court Care, the residential and dementia home at Tallington has 30 brand

new bedrooms - all with ensuite wet rooms - available in a beautiful village setting close to Stamford, Bourne and Market Deeping.

The development brings the total number of bedrooms at the stone-fronted former 19th century rectory to 60. Personalised 24-hour dementia care is delivered by highly trained, compassionate and devoted staff who believe quality care is about more than just personal care.

“We are working hard to make sure that the Country Court Care communities are wonderful places to live and provide lots of precious moments for people living with dementia,” says customer relations manager Rabea Azad.

“Family means a lot to all of us. We understand the importance of selecting the right care home. Our philosophy is simple - our residents and their families are at the heart of our care and nursing homes.

“We believe that each resident and their families are unique. As a result, we tailor programmes to suit our residents’ preferences. We focus on treating all residents as individuals, with compassion and dignity.”

Relatives agree. One glowing testimonial reads: “My mother was in the care of Tallington Lodge Care Home for more than four years. Not only was it her home, but all staff and residents were also her family. Everybody who works here is remarkably kind, caring and thoughtful. Facilities amazing!”

Oh, and there’s one other not-so-small thing to mention - ‘Tally’ the giraffe. The quirky giant statue takes pride of place at the entrance. “We thought it would be a nice feature - and a talking point,” says Ms Azad.
