Three Peterborough entrepreneurs have joined forces to create TAG Theatre Productions, a brand new theatre company for young local people.

And the first show from TAG (Talented And Gifted) will be the nation’s all-time favourite musical GREASE at the Key Theatre from October 17 to 19.

GREASE tells the story of the too cool for school T-Birds and the gum-snapping Pink Ladies as they embark on their senior year at High School.

At the heart of the story is the romance between charismatic Danny Zuko, and the sweet new girl in town, Sandy.

With songs including

Summer Nights, Greased Lightnin’, We Go Together and You’re The One That I Want, GREASE will feature a cast of young performers. And talented young local people can audition for parts on Sunday (April 7) at the Key for both principal roles and the ensemble . Experience is not essential as the cast will be fully supported by a team of professionals.

Show Producer, Catherine Mayer, who has formed TAG with Darren Maddison and Tony Mayer, explains: “We have already had lots of interest in GREASE, but if anyone wants to have the chance to audition it’s not too late – simply register your interest at www. greasepeterborough.co.uk”

Tickets are now on sale on 01733 207239.
