TRAITORS Acorn, cert 15 DVD 2-disc set £24.99
This C4 thriller series from Boardwalk Empire creator Bash Doran - her Brit TV first - is set in 1945 when Winston Churchill lost a general election to Clement Attlee’s Labour. America was horrified, fearing reds under the bed of the Brit establishment. So, posh and naive Feef Symonds (Emma Appleton pictured) who’d trained but missed out on being a wartime spy, is recruited by sinister US agent Rowe (Michael Stahlbarg) to infiltrate the government as a secretary in the Cabinet Office - where steely Miss Garrick (Keeley Hawes) rules the roost. She’s also encouraged to seduce an idealistic new Labour MP ( Luke Treadaway) in hopes of looselipped pillow talk. But Feef discovers she can trust no one in this murky world where bodies can end up in the Thames. In which series did Keeley play a Govt minister? Entries to Alex Gordon, Traitors competition.
