I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here
ITV, 9pm, from Sunday
Everyone from former Speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow to Girls Aloud’s Nadine Coyle has been rumoured to be taking part in this year’s series, while presenters Ant and Dec (below) have suggested their dream signing would be Richard Madeley. But now we’re about to get our first good look at the class of 2019 as they arrive in the jungle. After all these years, the British celebs should have a pretty good idea of what they’re letting themselves in for, but the realities of roughing it in the camp (not to mention those infamous Bush Tucker Trials) can still be tougher than they imagined.
STREAMING
The Crown
Netflix, from Sunday
Claire Foy has gone - long live Olivia Colman. The Oscar-winner is taking over the role of Elizabeth II, as the acclaimed drama returns for a third series. It’s been hinted that the new run will feature less strife between the Queen and Prince Philip (Tobias Menzies), which is good news for anyone who was exasperated by his moaning during the first two seasons. However, we will see
the break down of the marriage of Princess Margaret (Helena Bonham Carter, taking over from the scenestealing Vanessa Kirby). We should also expect Prince Charles (Josh O’Connor, who certainly looks the part) to take more of a role this time around as he moves into the public eye following his investiture as Prince of Wales.

The Hurt Locker
BBC Two, 11pm, Sunday
Those of a nervous disposition should opt out of a tour of duty with Kathryn Bigelow’s thrilling, Oscarwinning war drama. The Hurt Locker is a master class in sustained tension as a three-strong bomb disposal squad attached to the US Army risks life and severed limb to defuse roadside IEDs (improvised explosive devices). Staff Sergeant William James (Jeremy Renner, inset) is the new boy of Bravo Company, taking charge of sergeant JT Sanborn (Anthony Mackie) and specialist Owen Eldridge (Brian Geraghty) on the streets of Baghdad, but his gung-ho, fatalistic approach to his job creates friction with his subordinates. Mackie and Geraghty are compelling as the voices of experience and exuberance, and there are pivotal roles for Guy Pearce and Ralph Fiennes as men caught in the crossfire.
