Dick Kwiatowski was born in Peterborou­gh in 1948 to a Polish father and German mother.

He progressed through the Posh youth team ranks to sign a profession­al contract in 1967. Kwiatowski played in midfield or defence, making 62 Posh appearance­s before he was released in 1972 when he went on to play for Stamford and Holbeach. Kwiatowksi halped Stamford to the FA Vase finals at Wembley in 1976 & 1980. He also managed Bourne Town before retiring and becoming a bank manager.
