The Peterborough Evening Telegraph
Festival of Antiques
East of England Arena, May 21 and 22
The Peterborough Festival of Antiques will return to the city in May.
The event will be held at the East of England Arena on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 May, with strict Covid security measures in place.
As one of the biggest antiques markets in the country, the Peterborough Festival of
Antiques will take up four of the East of England Arena & Events Centre’s buildings, including the main arena, as well as several acres of outdoor pitches. There will be thousands of antiques, collectables, vintage items and upcycled goods for sale.
The organiser of Peterborough Festival of Antiques, International Antiques and Collectors Fairs (IACF), has created a set of covid-safe guidelines for the event, with the help of the East of England Arena, ensuring that the festival will be a safe and welcoming event for everyone. Visitors to the festival will be asked to observe some safety guidelines that will be familiar to everyone, like asking permission before touching or picking up goods, keeping social distance, and using the one-way system.
To accommodate social distancing, the festival is more spread out, with larger stalls and stands, in more buildings, and there will be hand sanitiser stations available widely around the site, together with a festival track and trace system that’s easy to manage on a smartphone.
