Trio aim to revive 25-year-old club
A popular business club which ran in Peterborough for 25 years is to be revived.
The Peterborough Business Club has been renamed the Original Business Club with its meetings set to start again on September 14.
It will also meet in its former base at the Bell Inn, in Stilton. The club meet continuously from 1995 to early 2020 when the outbreak of Covid-19 brought its fortnightly meetings to a halt.
Previously run by prominent local businessman Brian Soanes, the club meetings regularly attracted up to 80 local business leaders.
Now three Peterboroughbased business owners have stepped forward to revive the Club.
They are Joseph Reilly of marketing agency Joseph Creative, Dan Russell of telecoms company Quadrant Tech, and Mark Underwood of consultancy practice CMU Partners.
Mr Reilly said: “The Business Club has a long and prestigious history in Peterborough, and numerous valuable connections and relationships were developed over the years.”
He added: “We are bringing that back and will be featuring more guest speakers so that every meeting is about much more than just business networking.”
At the relaunch event, the guest speakers will be internationally renowned NLP and executive coaching experts Bevis Moynan and Paul Ward who will outline the Art of Public Speaking.
Business owners and leaders can secure a free place by registering at www.theoriginalbusinessclub.co.uk.
A time-limited membership offer will be available to attendees at the meeting.
