City of Peterborough Ladies were held to a disappointing 0-0 draw in their first East Premier Division match of 2022 at Dereham on Saturday.

City couldn’t find a finish, but still retain a healthy fifth place ahead of a tough game against second-placed Norwich City at Bretton Gate on Saturday ( 11.30am).

City seconds (3-0) and thirds (4-0) enjoyed handsome wins. Claire Bowtell, Lucy Norfield, Vicky Edwards and Grace German scored for the thirds.

City of Peterborough Men’s seconds are edging way from Premier Division relegation danger. They beat Ipswich firsts 3-0 with goals from Gareth Andrew, William Astbury and Simon Shorter, and are now fourth from bottom.

The big game at Bretton Gate though was the Division Two clash between City’s third and fourth teams. It went as you’d expect with the higher team winning 3-0 with goals from Alex Vardaro, Stuart Biggs and Carl Daniels.

In Division One Spalding are top after a 7-0 win against Cambridge Nomads. Stu Cunnington, Jacob Baker and Joe Rogers all scored twice.
