The Peterborough Evening Telegraph
Committed and clinical
Posh boss Grant McCann praised the commitment of his players in the 2-0 Easter Monday win at Barnsley and also lauded the clinical finishing of striker Jack Marriott.
“We weren’t great on the ball, but we fought for each other and the clean sheet was very pleasing,” McCann said. “And Jack again delivered a clinical finish to get that important first goal. It was good to score from a set-piece as well. We’ve been working hard on those.”
Goalkeeper Dai Cornell and centre-back Frankie Kent shared the PT man of the match award from a scrappy enounter. There was also a big impact from the substitutes’ bench by Ricky-Jade Jones.
