Big names coming to the end of their shelf life?
Posh chairman Darragh MacAnthony believes players at League One level have a useful shelf-life at one club of between 3-4 years.
Discounting players who came through the Posh Academy, the suggestion leaves seven senior players vulnerable to an exit from London Road this summer.
How would their departure benefit Posh, if at all?
DAN BUTLER
Joined Posh, 2019.
Posh have ear-marked young Aaron Powell as one left-back in the senior squad next season so Butler could go if the club are able to sign Nathanael Ogbeta on a permanent basis.
Posh could do better than Butler, but he would still be a decent back-up.

The big man dominates the Posh forward line and their attacking tactics. He peaked two seasons ago and would be 29 next season so Posh should cash in on him while they can.
A more fluent, flexible forward line could be a good thing.
FRANKIE KENT

He’s done great things and will be remembered as a promotion-winner, but this season he’s played like a man who needs a change of club. Sell him and find someone more reliably dominant.
JACK TAYLOR

The only advantage in selling the midfielder would be the cash it would raise. Spend a chunk of that money wisely on a couple of players and it could be a good sale, but others should go first.
NATHAN THOMPSON
Joined Posh 2020.
The consistency hasn’t been there this season. Let him go
and freshen up the team by finding a younger man.
JOE WARD
Joined Posh 2018. He appears to be on his way and he's been inconsistent this season anyway. At his best he’s a loss especially for nothing. In an ideal world he’d stay.
RONNIE EDWARDS
Joined Posh 2020.
He’s proved he won’t make the difference in terms of winning promotion from League One or not. If Posh can sell they really should. As good as he could become he should be the priority departure.
