So many great memories from a fantastic footballer
George Boyd delivered many great memories for Posh fans.
He scored his first Posh goal in his sixth appearance in a 3-0 home win over Wrexham in February, 2007. He was substituted in the 80th minute that day and replaced by a Posh debutant called Craig Mackail-Smith.
Boyd scored his final Posh goal in a 5-1 Championship romp at Millwall in February, 2013. He didn’t score in his second spell at London Road.
Boyd reached double figures for goals in each of his first four full seasons for Posh with 2010-11 (17 goals) his best. He scored one hattrick.
PT Posh reporter Alan Swann’s favourite Boyd moment was his wonder goal from close to the halfway line in a 3-1 Championship home win over Huddersfield in October,
2012.
Here are the favourite Boyd memories from Posh fans as told to @PTAlanSwann on Twitter.
